One More African Startup Quietly Exits. Here Is What the Market Is Saying
By Waititu Kuria26 June 2026

A quiet exit from the African startup ecosystem is once again sharpening attention on liquidity and consolidation in the region’s tech market.
Kenyan logistics startup SwiftCart Logistics has reportedly exited through a strategic acquisition, according to a company press statement circulated to partners and investors.
The deal, while not disclosed in full detail, reflects a pattern
increasingly visible across early-stage African ventures: scale challenges are pushing startups toward strategic buyers rather than long public growth cycles.
In the statement, a SwiftCart representative noted, “this transition allows us to accelerate impact at scale through an expanded regional platform.”
